Rosa Parks was the topic of the slam when year 2 visited Blackfen Library yesterday. 

The anticipation was palpable as we walked through the packed café filled with proud parents. 

The children were nervous but extremely excited to present their original poems about Rosa Parks, segregation and discrimination to the attentive audience, who clicked (instead of clapped) as the children explored big issues that still affect our world today.

Well done year 2!
